It is obvious that Alberta needs some stronger laws when dealing with animal abuse in light of the rash of violence towards animals making the news these days.

Sammy is one such example. Sammy was brutally killed by a man named Shawn Rankin after an incident involving Sammy and Shawn's dog. Sammy was led into the darkness, beaten and had her throat slashed, then left to die in pain.

Below is a sample letter to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, and MLA of Calgary, Alison Redford. Please take the time to write Ms. Redford to help bring in stiffer penalties against animal abusers in this province.
