Say NO to the Rodeo as a Provincial Sport
Alberta politicians need to hear loud and clear that you do not support the idea of rodeo becoming our provincial sport. The Alberta United Conservative Party (UCP) has put forward Bill 212 that would have rodeo events represent Alberta values in our province.

This bill is designed to divide urban and rural folks; as a sport it is non-inclusive for women, minorities, people of colour and the differently abled. As a revenue generator, there are many other sports and activities that will have the same or better economic impact. Rodeo is a form of entertainment which is losing favour with most Canadians and even a large number of Albertans because of the undeniable distress, suffering and death of the animals involved.
