Voice for Animals strongly believes that animals are not commodities. Although more innocent on the surface, the pet trade not only fundamentally assumes animals are property to be bought and sold, but often the collection of exotics and the breeding of domestic animals creates fundamental welfare problems.

For this reason you should NEVER buy an animal at the pet store. Rather, there are fantastic organizations functioning throughout Alberta that rescue animals and adopt to suitable forever homes.

Voice for Animals will also periodically profile animals for local individual rescuers.  If you have an animal you have rescued and would like us to place their information on our site, please contact us.

SAFE Team

Saving Animals From Euthanasia Team is dedicated to rescuing animals who are facing euthanization at Edmonton Area Shelters when they do not have the space to hold them.
